The automotive industry composes a wide range of organizations and companies which are involved in designing, marketing, developing, and manufacturing, and selling motor vehicles.

Most of the components included in this are the engines and bodies while the batteries, fuels, and the industries are excluded from it and do not include any other industries dedicated to the maintenance of automobiles such as automobile service and repair shops. The automotive industry is known as the world’s largest industry by revenue.

The main equipment or products are passenger automobiles and light and heavy trucks, motorbike manufacturers, pickup vans, etc.

History of the automotive industry :

The automotive industry began in the 1860s with the development of the gasoline engine in France and Germany and originated from Europe in the 19th century. However, by the 20th century, the United States was known for total automobile production through various mass production methods and technology. In the second half of the century, the western European countries and Japan were known as the major producers and exporters.

Before world war-I in 1929 due to the great depressions, the automobile industry was of small shops with small investments. In the large-scale production some of the common characteristics well seen in three ways which were bicycles in Germany, and morris in Britain and Durrant in the United States. These all were of the gaseous machines and this experimentation has reached a wide range.

The electrical automobile has also been remained in limited production due to its easy to use facilities which were especially used by women in the 1920s. Due to various technology and techniques used in the automotive industry, they are able to produce in a wide range of full-scale mass production.

The United States was known for its large population and technology which leads to known as the total production of the automotive industry in the 19th century. This mass production of automobiles was first contributed by Henry Fordꓹ which led to car production in large volume and at a low cost and in 1913 they led the world by the production of motor vehicles. Ransom Eꓸ Olds also made in the first major mass production in the market with Oldsmobile buggy in 1901ꓸ but this car was known as lightly built and won’t be used for rough purposesꓸ Looking on all this situation Ford develop a car which was called Model-T which was known as the best motor vehicle in historyꓸ this car is able to use on the rough road tooꓸ

In world war–II, the production of the automotive industry was for military transport and supply. Basically, they used the vehicles for the military needs and their purposesꓸ Automotive plants were also used for converting into various military equipmentꓹ including tanksꓸ

Automotive industry in modern days

In modern days they are manufacture in huge. Vehicles became more complex and involve various mechanical and electrical parts. The United States is known as the largest manufacturers and also offers various other employment opportunities in several programs and factors. Several other countries like Japan, Europe are looking forward to it.

Car development and manufacturing is known expensive and takes a longer period of time, so to shorten this time various techniques and methods were used. Some of the globally leading auto vehicles are Volkswagen, Nissan Motors, Honda, Toyota, etc.

The modern automotive industry keeps on changing due to various trends in the industry, and to new technologies and materials.

The manufacturing process for cars over the years?

The mass production of cars was first brought by Fordꓹ but now it is more elaborately described in the modern daysꓸ this process run with the basic controlled flow of materials and raw materialsꓸ complete flow of materials is a basic way for the automobile firms to manufacture their own components tires and batteries are basically brought from the outside sourcesꓸ manufacturing and production of new models include various specified toolsꓸ

The first large scale-automated services in the United States was a Ford motor company engine plants which went into production in 1951ꓸ
